This system is proven to be ineffective, as previously mentioned. Through the interview, some locals complain that some of these initial collection points are either too far or too troublesome. Some areas that are not real collection points also become an assumed collection point by the locals, due to practicality and also societal norms. Inability to understand the psychology of the locals in their perception of their perceived control and subjective norm leads to an ineffective processing of waste management. The locals are not willing to cooperate and follow the real SOP. They would rather deal with their household waste through burning, dumping it to the sea or dumping it to a socially assumed area as a waste collection point.
