About Me

Hi, I am Jerald Chew, a Year 2 Psychology student from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. I took up the module of Conservation Psychology as I wanted to learn more about conservation issues and the psychological influences on environmental actions and attitudes.

The topic of light pollution came up in a casual conversation where my friend asked me for stargazing locations in Singapore for his date. It then dawned on me that stars are a rare sight here but I have never wondered why. Through this blog, I hope that more people will acknowledge that light pollution is a serious issue that needs to be addressed and one day, we will all be able to admire a beautiful sky filled with stars and a view of the Milky Way.
