My blog focuses on the Tragedy of the Commons specifically with respect to the environment and conservation issues. This situation where by a common and public property/entity does not bring benefits to the society and people who are involved. This was first introduced by Garrett Hardin.

Hardin mentioned that human overpopulation was the root cause for ecological issues. He warned the public greatly of the dangers that came with human overpopulation. He took his work very seriously and started the ‘death-with-dignity movement’ and supported suicide. He and his wife had taken their own lives in 2003 together as they believed it was one’s choice to choose their death. This was also linked to his involvement in white nationalism.

Though he was known to be notorious to conservatives, his best known essay “The Tragedy of the Commons” is the one of the most cited worked in ecology.
