Hi! I am An Sheng, a Year 2 undergraduate from NTU. I am majoring in Psychology. When I was very young, my teacher in school told us a story about how those in food scarce countries had to seek out and live off scraps of unfinished food left over from the meals of others. Though my memory of the exact story is now hazy, the habit it has cultivated in myself to not waste food lives on strong to this day. Since then, I have always held a strong belief of not wasting food. Therefore, I chose to work on the topic of food waste, as I hope to be able to spread awareness on the issue of food waste and encourage everyone to treasure this everyday commodity that we are privileged to have.

More about my personal life…

I like all things pretty and girly, and I enjoy doing handicrafts during my free time. I have tried many different types of crafts previously, and I’m currently into resin crafts and crocheting. I hope to embark on quilting and dressmaking in the future too! I also love listening to oldies from the 80s and 90s, with my favourite genres being cantonese pop, mandarin pop, and euro disco. My favorite singers are Vivian Chow, Shirley Kwan (from Hong Kong) and Jennifer Chen (from Taiwan)!
