The 5 stages of grief were first introduced by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross in 1969. It was originally taught to be linear, although she regretted in describing the predictable progression as linear. The 5 stages can be known popularly known as DABDA. We will also be looking at the 5 different stages in the context of climate change – the 5 different possible reaction routes to environmental challenges.
