Conclusion

This website focused on accidental oil spills that happened around Singapore. A broader scope of this topic is that of oil pollution. Unfortunately, oil spill is just a small portion of oil pollution that happens in the world. More of the oil pollution is caused by chronic oil inputs, such as careless use of oil on land resulting in coastal and river runoff, as well as atmospheric transport of volatilized hydrocarbons to the ocean. Hence, it is important to note that there are many things we do in our daily lives that will lead to oil pollution. With each and every individual effort, we might be able to reduce such chronic pollution.
