Through this blog, I hope to bring you on a journey to gain amazing insights about a very special crab which is much closer to home – the Singapore freshwater crab. The Singapore freshwater crab is a species listed as the top 100 critically endangered in the International Union Conservation of Nature (IUCN) red list of threatened species. Moreover, being one of the few species native and endemic to (only found in) Singapore, suggests an urgency for Singapore to be active in the conservation of the Singapore freshwater crab.
