About Author

Hi! I am Chen Mantang Gabriel, a Year 3 Psychology Student that is currently taking Conservation Psychology Module under Prof Dr. Michael D. Gumert. I am a self-declared mix of an Ego-centric/Anthropocentric/Ecocentric individual who believes that if everyone contributes to conservation efforts to the best they can, there will always be a greener tomorrow! I have chosen the Javan Rhinos as the topic for my blog, as it has always being a magnificent creature in my mind, with its intimidating horns, yet having a peaceful nature. Thus, the aim of this blog is not just to bring awareness regarding this precious to-be-extinct species, but also to integrate conservation psychology knowledge so as to arrive at a better understanding of why humans are forcing this species into a dying corner, and also provide possible suggestions or interventions towards salvaging this situation of the tragedy of the commons.
