Claudia Alta Taylor (1912-2007), more widely known as Lady Bird Johnson, was the former First Lady of the United States, as the wife of the 36th President, Lyndon Baines Johnson. Lady Bird Johnson assumed multiple roles through her life. Apart from the first lady, she was also a businesswoman, a philanthropist and an activist in areas such as conservation and equality issues, as evident from the many projects that she had spearheaded.
