Though St. Francis walked this earth long before us, his influence on the world has not cease to exist. In recognising his early life experiences and development of a deep relationship with the Creator, it would bring us to an understanding of the depths of his ecological consciousness. Though he may not have directly engaged in specific environmental movements, his theological views on creation and subsequent ethics to care for it has been widely influential and disseminated to his followers across the globe today. I hope that the life of St. Francis has birthed in you a greater ecological consciousness and inspire you to be an agent of change for the earth and all its creation too.
