The population crisis we are facing currently has its roots way back in the 1960s. The overpopulation issues are mainly due to the government policies implemented over the years. A small implementation of a policy can have tremendous effects on the future, much like the butterfly effect. Below is a Graph I made of the growth of Singapore’s Population from the 1960s. As you can see, there is a increase in population to our current 5,183,700 people as of 28 September 2011. The increase can be attributed to a influx in foreigners due to government policies.
