We have to differentiate between 2 terms, pathway and vector. A pathway is the means by which IAS are introduced into an ecosystem. A vector is any living or non-living thing that aids in the transfer and spread of IAS in an ecosystem. IAS can be introduced via 2 pathways; unintentional and intentional pathways
