Lawrence Anthony (17th September 1950 -2 March 2012)

Lawrence Anthony, widely known as the Elephant Whisperer, was a South African conservationist, environmentalist,  adventurer and also a bestselling author of 3 books.

He ran the Thula Thula game reserve in Zululand, South Africa and is also the founder of The Earth Organisation, an independent, non-profit organisation that aims to encourage and support conservation, pro-environment and pro-wildlife projects through action and education.
