Hosting and Documentaries

  1. Suzuki’s Nature Quest
    In 2002, together with her father David Suzuki, Cullis-Suzuki co-hosted a children’s programme aired on Discovery Channel and Canada’s “Y” Channel. This programme is called Suzuki’s Nature Quest, a 13 episode series where the father-daughter duo explores the nature. Cullis-Suzuki is a face for the youths, who has been proactive in pushing for ecological tipping points.
  2. Samaqan: Water Stories

    Aired on Aboriginal People’s Television Network in Canada, this television programme just finished its third season in late 2013. Following success from previous three seasons, Samaqan: Water Stories is in the midst of production of its fourth season. This series has been hosted by Cullis-Suzuki and looked into relationship between water and indigenous people, and the challenges they face in getting their water resources. Cullis-Suzuki had hosted this long running programme for many years, showing her dedication to solve environmental issues.
  3. Severn, The Voice of our Children

    This is a documentary film directed by Jean-Paul Jaud and screened in 2010. The documentary focuses on environmental practices carried out in countries such as Japan, France and Canada. In this documentary, Cullis-Suzuki explores sustainable practices carried out in rice plantations in Japan, restaurants in France and speaks with people fighting to protect biodiversity. This documentary was awarded at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
