About Me

Me on the right
I’m the one on the right.

Hello I’m Eveline Vijlbrief and I’m 21 years old. I’m an Exchange student from the Netherlands. Which means I’m Dutch. People usually ask me what the difference is between being Dutch, coming from the Netherlands or from Holland. This short clip will explain!

The difference between Holland and the Netherlands

I’ll tell you guys a little bit more about myself and where I’m from. I’m currently living with other Exchange students at Lakeside, which is 2 mrt stations and 1 bus ride from NTU. I live with one Dutch guy and 4 Swedish students. The other girl in the picture is my room mate here in Singapore. Back home I live in a town called Barendrecht, which lies  close to one of the Netherlands’ biggest cities, Rotterdam. I moved to Barendrecht when I was 1 year old, before that I lived in Bergen op Zoom. Since I was quite young when we moved, I can’t remember a thing about that place! My family consists of my parents, my “little” brother and me. My little brother is 19 yeas old, way taller than me and studies mechanical engineering in Delft.
