Plastic and conservation

When you think about plastic, you don’t automatically think about conservation. It’s known world wide that people use too much plastic and  are increasingly confronted of plastic in, for example, the sea.

But how are conservation and plastic related? Or, maybe even better: how can we make plastic and conservation more related?

For that the use of plastic has to be diminished. Not only do we need to ensure that people use less plastic, but we also have to find a way to make plastic more degradable. A lot of countries around the world have tried to make a difference. To learn how they try to achieve this look under “Other countries”.

Another thing we can do, I try to teach people more about how big the damage of plastic is. Try to teach them in a way, that they can see how plastic has an influence on their lives. Making people aware of the consequences that their behaviours have, for example; never taking your own shopper to the stores, could be a way to make them more aware of the problem.
