Based on the 179 countries, the proportional index ranked Singapore as the worst environmental offender

This study ranks countries by their environmental impact so that countries who fare poor in environmental performance can remodel their developmental policies to increase environmental protection.

The rankings are based on natural forest loss, habitat conversion, marine captures, fertilizer use, water pollution, carbon emissions and species threat.
