In the animation above MAN by Steve Cutts, it shows the ways of mankind and how we have been impacting nature throughout the years for our own benefits. Highlighting the video from 1:13-1:21, amongst the various devastating acts, one of which was to dispose of plastics into the oceans. It was shown in the animation that soon after dumping plastics into the ocean, the man fished from it. As the man’s boat reaches the shore, he passes a dead marine animal.

In the short span of 8 seconds, the impact of man on the oceans and marine life can be seen. These actions threaten not only marine life, but will also have consequences on human health in due course.
