After learning about the causes and impacts of plastics in the oceans, the next question that comes to mind is, ‘What is done to alleviate the situation?’ Since the pollution began with humans, it is only right that humans are the one to clean up our mess and to save the rest of the species that share the Earth with us. Four main components that can help to alleviate the plastic pollution issue are through governmental policies, non-governmental organisations, individual efforts and education. However, in order for conservation efforts to succeed, these various platforms have to work together to solve our environmental issues.
