At NTU every year 50 students films are made. These films need a good and individual cast.

In Singapore there are a lot of talented actors. We want to collect this talent in a database.

MIMESIS is designed as a starting point of NTU students and Singaporean performers working together.

But MIMESIS is not only about acting: This database is looking for all kinds of performers (actors, dancers, musicians, hosts etc).

Why MIMESIS?
According to Aristotle, MIMESIS – from the ancient greek μῖμος (mimos), “imitator, actor” – is the core of what an actor does: An actor imitates human behavior and at the same time turns it into something new, something pure and timeless.
