Jelaine discovered her passion in acting by participating in the musical The Best Little Theatre in Town by Sally K. Albrech at the age of 12, in the role of Connie Chase. Her interest in theatre continued to grow as part of the English and drama society in her Secondary School and Junior College.At LASALLE, her credits include Spring Awakening directed by Aole Miller, The Revolutionary Model Play 2.0 directed by Wang Chong as part of Singapore International Festival of Arts 2015, Family by Noor Effendy Ibrahim, Measure for Measure directed by Adam Marple, Dracula: How I was able to face the mirror and realise that Living has become a chore directed by Stefanos Rassios and The Beckett Project directed by Sarah Jane Scaife.Her recent credits include M1 Youth Theatre Festival 2017 – WITHOUT REASON by ArtsWok.Jelaine enjoys interacting with young audiences and hopes to pursue her interest in the local theatre and film scene.
