While they may walk different paths, they share the same tenacity to take the leap and pursue a world-class MBA programme in Singapore with Nanyang Business School.
Kickstarting the week with one of our youngest candidates in MBA. At the age of 24, Pradnya Sabale gained the experience of working in Japan as an expat. Her mature demeanour has inspired many of her peers to take a leap of faith in pursuing higher learning.
A newly minted MBA graduate gets a broader perspective on global business trends and improved professional skills, resulting in faster career movement and commensurate pay. For a manager hiring MBA talents, the graduate’s learning and perspective matter – but they may also worry about other factors that the recent graduate may not be aware of, much less have prepared for.
Two Japanese executives with global leadership roles in their sights came to the same conclusion: to broaden their career prospects, taking further education beyond Japan was the best way for them to realise their respective dreams.
It’s rare to find two siblings from completely different work backgrounds going down the same postgraduate learning path, much less pursuing an MBA from the same institution.
It was a no-brainer for brothers Tan Sheng Jie and Tan Sheng Wei. The older of the two, Sheng Jie, found his career taken to new heights post-MBA. After completing the Nanyang Waseda double MBA programme, Sheng Jie climbed the ranks to become the Senior Vice President, Head of Strategy and Experience (Asia Market) at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
