Post-session summary
Thank you to the 44 participants who attended the webinar. We hope the session serves as a platform where we learn from each other and build meaningful network across repositories in Asia.
The webinar covered three parts:
- Part 1: Large-scale comparison on Institutional Repositories operation in Japan and Takeaways from JPCOAR’s survey (Yasuyuki MINAMIYAMA and Masashi KAWAI)
Yasuyuki introduced several characteristics of Japanese institutional repositories based on large-scale survey data using the COAR community framework checklist. Next, Masashi shared the current status regarding his survey toolkit, which is still under development. The toolkit will be able to automate processes from survey data acquisition to visualization. - Part 2: DR-NTU (Data)’s CoreTrustSeal Certification (Yuyun W. ISHAK)
The CoreTrustSeal Certification combines self-assessment with peer-evaluation and gives strong indication that the data repository is trustworthy. In her sharing, Yuyun highlighted the gaps that were identified through the assessment exercise. - Part 3: COAR Community Framework for Good Practices in Repositories, Version 2 (Iryna Kuchma)
