Becoming a librarian BFF
At the ACRL 2017 conference in Baltimore, Maryland, we presented a poster on a program called, “The Librarian BFF Program for Distance Graduate Students.”1 The title is a tongue-in-cheek way of framing librarians to be students’ and faculty’s “best friend forever,” which was our approach for providing a personalized librarian service to a specific group of users. Junjie is a Scholarly Communication librarian (research impact and copyright). He has an honours degree in Psychology from NUS and a Masters of Information Studies from NTU. In his free time, he enjoys learning foreign languages, playing the piano, fine arts, fiddling with R programming, inferential statistics – e.g. GLMs, predictive modelling & more.
