The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa is the national museum of New Zealand. Their collections online contain information of more than 500,000 works of art. Among them, more than 30,000 have downloadable images for reuse in high resolution. Users can search by keywords.

Images are loaded to the site are of three main types: “No known copyright restrictions“, “Creative Commons BY-NC-ND” and “All rights reserved“. The images can be used for educational or noncommercial purposes under Fair Dealing as defined under the the New Zealand Copyright Act 1994. Images on Creative Commons required attribution by including caption information and credit Te Papa as the image source:
