Drones and quadcopters are a booming industry. It is no surprise as they have many uses, including but not limited to surveillance, aerial photography, remote sensing, recreation etc. However, small recreational drones can be fairly loud and commercial drones are even worse! The noise generated pose a risk to the hearing of people in the vicinity, and can get much worse especially in enclosed areas. Hence, the idea behind ‘Itty Bitty Blimpy’ was born – to build a multi-purpose indoors surveillance blimp that is quiet, fast and maneuverable.
