Gardens by the Bay Tour
On 24 October, a total of 21 participants went to Gardens by the Bay for the Biodiversity and Ecosystems Tour. This tour aimed to help participants learn about biodiversity and understand the importance of protecting different ecosystems. Through observing various plants and environments, we gained a better appreciation of how nature works together to support life on Earth.
When we arrived, our guide brought us around to explore different types of ecosystems, from wetlands to Mediterranean environments. Along the way, the guide explained how the different plants and animals survive and interact with each other. It was interesting to learn how each ecosystem has its own unique features.

We also got to see some areas up close, like the wetland section where there were a lot of aquatic plants, and the Mediterranean zone filled with dry-climate plants like succulents. The guide shared fun facts about how some plants can store water or grow in harsh conditions, which made us realise how amazing nature can be.
As part of the tour, we visited the Flower Dome. The guide gave a short introduction inside, and after that, we had some free time to walk around and explore on our own. There were so many colourful flowers and plants from different zones. It was a relaxing and eye-opening experience overall, and we ended the tour happily and more aware of how diverse our planet’s ecosystems are.
