If you want to spend your holidays in a meaningful way, the Jurong Eco Garden Biodiversity Audit Training Program will be a marvelous opportunity to equip yourself with biodiversity identification techniques and monitoring skills.

By taking part in this educational training program, you will be able to identify common animals and carry out a biodiversity survey at Jurong Eco Garden.

If you have heavy stacks of notes you want to recycle or any unwanted clothes, you can place it in the bins placed near you for your convenience! Do you know that if those are thrown into the recycling bins, you would be making a small difference to this Planet?
There are plenty of facts out there on why recycling is important. The world population is growing, not shrinking, and currently each human being add significant amount of waste to the planet over his or her lifetime. In Singapore, the Semakau Landfill (the only landfill in Singapore) would be completely filled by 2045 if we do not recycle more diligently from now on.
YOU can make a difference today!
Look out for the Recycling Drive by Earthlink NTU from 9th Nov to 7th Dec. The Big Green Bins are located in all of the Hall of Residences just for you. Now, inconvenience no longer needs to be an excuse for not recycling.
Besides this, we are also holding a door-to-door collection on the 5th Dec and 6th Dec, from 10 am to 4pm. All recyclables, including plastics, glassware, paper, metal cans and clothes are accepted.
Recycle today for a better tomorrow. Join us in our conquest to make a difference and conserve the environment!

No Waste Day campaign is here!

The amount of waste generated in Singapore is increasing. This means that more landfills will have to be built to manage this increasing amount of waste. This is not sustainable. Ever wondered what you can do to reduce waste by making small lifestyle changes? It s easier than you think.

Come down to our booth this coming Tuesday, 20 October 2015 at the Concourse @ South Spine to find out how! In addition, we would also have lucky draw sessions. Simply enter the photo competition by just taking a minimum of 2 photos per week of you reducing waste, post it to Facebook/Instagram and you will be entitled to win a lucky draw prize. Lucky draw prizes will be posted up in Earthlink NTU s Facebook page and also Earthlink NTU s Instagram soon!

Nature Trails and Night Wonders is back!
Ever wished you could bring your friends with you on a nature walk? Ever wished you could show your friends what being an Earthlinker really means?
Now’s your chance! Nature Trails and Night Wonders will bring you to the Kitchen Garden at Pasir Ris Park to experience the culinary treasures of herbs and spices growing in our midst. As dusk falls, we will venture into the mangrove boardwalks, where we will see the wonders of the mangroves in a different light. If you are lucky enough, you might even be able to spot owls, civet cats and even fireflies!
Spend time in nature, bond with existing friends even make new friends! Hesitate no more and join us in Nature Trails and Night Wonders!

Update regarding cancellation of event

Hi everyone,

We would like to first thank you for your interest in International Coastal Cleanup Singapore (ICCS). However, as the PSI levels have been persisting in the unhealthy range for the past few days, we regret to inform you that the makeup ICCS event on this Saturday, 3rd October 2015 is now cancelled. This decision has been made by the organizing committee after taking into consideration the health and safety of the participants.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused and we hope to see you in our future events.

Earthlink is the largest environmental club in NTU, and we would love to recruit eager and passionate people to join our ranks! This year, we look forward to recruiting more than 100 subcommittee members in this recruitment drive.

*Please bring along your Matriculation Card and Earthlink Membership Card during the subcommittee recruitment drive.

*Membership fees will be collected during the recruitment drive. Membership activation and membership card issuance are available.

We hope you ve been having a great time getting to know Earthlink; be it the new faces, diverse portfolios that form our society or the common goals that bind us together.

As we proceed into a new academic year, we would like to invite you to join us in our Annual General Meeting 2015.

Besides showcasing the efforts and accomplishments of the past academic year, candidates of the 23rd Management Committee would also be introduced to you. They would share their hopes and plans in leading Earthlink for the new year.

A few important things to note are:

Registration starts at 8.30am and closes at 9.00am
Only registered Earthlink members are permitted to vote
Vote slips can only be handed in after all rally speeches have been conducted
Only one vote slip per registered member is permitted; vote by proxy is considered invalid
Bring your container and utensils as refreshments will be provided
