The Earth Hour portfolio partners annually with a South West Community Centre to organise Earth Hour, raising awareness of environmental issues that affect everyone globally. It serves to remind us that the need to protect our environment is a shared effort, encouraging the public to be united for the future. We aim to bring this message across in an engaging, meaningful and enjoyable manner for the residents. We also manage Earthlink’s podcast ‘1001 Ways the World is Going to Die!’, where we invite guests who champion sustainability.
Earth Hour’s Activities
We discuss appropriate activities that are fresh and attractive for the Earth Hour event, including the symbolic “lights off” movement. We also collaborate with interested external partners who share the same goals to set up booths and workshops and ensure that the event would be able to run smoothly for the public. For the podcast, we contact potential guests, so that they can share their experience of an environmentally conscious journey.
