Welcome to our gardening portfolio, where food security meets sustainability, and where self-sufficiency flourishes.
ABOUT US
In a world where sustainability and self-sufficiency are becoming increasingly vital, our gardening initiative stands as a beacon of hope and innovation. At the heart of our mission is the vision of achieving the ambitious Singapore’s 30×30 Food Security Goal. We believe in empowering individuals and communities to become self-reliant when it comes to their food sources. We strive to create a welcoming and harmonious environment. We believe that the process of growing food should be a joyful and communal experience. We invite you to join us on this journey towards a more sustainable and self-sufficient future for Singapore.
WHAT DO WE DO
Our journey begins with a commitment to reducing waste and nourishing our soil. Through a unique collaboration with hall canteens, we collect discarded fruit peels and transform them into nutrient-rich fertilizers. This eco-conscious approach not only minimizes waste but also enhances the fertility of our gardens, fostering a sustainable circle of life.
But we’re not just about recycling. We’re about education and inspiration. Our farm tours provide an up-close and personal experience, taking you on a journey from seed to plate. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the magic of planting and harvesting, connecting you to the rhythm of nature throughout the year. We’re also dedicated to hosting workshops that teach primary and secondary students the art of planting. These sessions not only impart practical skills but also instil a sense of responsibility and connection to the earth.
In our pursuit of innovation, we are open to collaborating with organizations like Engineers Without Borders to explore aquaponic and aeroponic systems. Together, we aim to push the boundaries of what’s possible in sustainable agriculture and food production.
In addition to nurturing the future generation of gardeners, we are committed to supporting local farmers. We invite farmers to our school to showcase and sell their produce, creating a bridge between urban and rural communities. This interaction not only benefits the farmers but also introduces our community to the diversity of locally grown foods.
