The Community Engagement portfolio’s goal is to raise awareness of environmental-related issues, both within the NTU community and beyond. We offer fun and meaningful activities with the aim of actively engaging everyone, whilst making the topics of sustainability and eco-awareness a lot more approachable.
Our Activities
We help to plan a wide range of events for the NTU community, be it large-scale beach cleanups or tours and visits to environmentally related organisations in Singapore, such as ACRES and NEWater. We also have had many external collaborations, be it hosting workshops in primary schools or supporting external events, such as being assigned a booth for International Migrants Day, an event hosted by MOM. Every year, our portfolio is in charge of planning a Local Community Engagement Project, which is a large-scale event that varies each time, but with the overarching goal of reaching out to different sections of society.
