Christmas is an extra special time for the Red Cross Youth NTU Chapter. Since 2012, volunteers have been celebrating this festival occasion with resident at HCA Hospice Care. Last Christmas, close to 30 residents were treated to an afternoon of carolling, games and a hearty karaoke session.
Not forgetting the tradition of gift giving, volunteers also presented each resident with a thoughtfully prepared goody bad of necessities. The celebrations ended off with an afternoon tea session, where volunteers and residents had the chance to share stories.
We are happy to spread laughter and joy to these terminally ill patients, assisting them to endure their illness with greater strength and happiness.
