The AGAM project was started to create awareness of the challenges faced by the elderly in our society.Since 2010, volunteers have been lending a listening ear, providing the elderly with companionship and letting them know that they have not been forgotten.
At the Thye Hwa Kwan Senior Activity Center(THKSAC) in Boon Lay and Bukit Merah, volunteers organise games, conduct karaoke sessions and hold performances to interact with the elderly.
To ensure that those who are unable to make it down to THKSAC are not left out, volunteers also visit their homes to chat and present them with goodie bags.
I really felt happy and joyful when I saw the elderly smiling at us. It taught me how meaningful it was to spread love!
