21 volunteers from NTU Hall 4 Touch of the Hearts (TOTS) helped to put on a fresh coat of paint at the corridors of the Down Syndrome Association (DSA) premises from 21-22 December 2017. The painting job helped the service users of DSA to enjoy a more pleasant environment when they come back for activities.

The volunteers were tasked to take charge of the entire painting project – from planning to procurement and execution. This was a new experience for most of the volunteers as most do not have prior experience with painting. Fortunately, with some online research and the help from DSA, the team was able to better understand the procedures of a painting project and craft out an action plan leading up to the project itself.

The team is grateful and would like to thank DSA for this amazing opportunity.

“We hope that the service users of DSA would feel more motivated and happy, when they step into this brand new DSA centre. It has been a roller-coaster journey for all of us, but I am sure that this is all worth it!” Ong Xin Wen, President of TOTs
