In order to meet the needs of an increasing population, the government has to build more facilities and amenities that is capable of housing the greater population needs. This is evident in the infrastructural development plans as proposed by the government in the Population White Paper. However, in line with Singapore’s aim of being a ‘City in a Garden’, the government has not only proposed infrastructual development plans that serve to meet the needs of a growing population but has also proposed environmentally-friendly infrastuctural development plans that helps in sustaining Singapore as a ‘City in a Garden’.
