The Climate Reality Project is an amalgamation of two environmental groups, The Alliance for Climate Protection and The Climate Project, which both were founded by Al Gore in 2006. It is a non-profit organization that devotes it time and efforts into solving the climate change crisis.

Both environmental groups were set up with the profits from An Inconvenient Truth, profits from Live Earth concerts as well as Al Gore donating his salary from his work at Kleiner Perkins, whom he is a senior partner at today. In 2010, they combined, forming a single organization.

Today, Al gore spends most of his time on The Climate Reality Project. It has many initiatives inline to achieve their mission. Some of their more notable ones are 24 Hours of Reality and Climate Reality Leadership Corps
