ArunDitha

ArunDitha (b. Deborah Arunditha Emmanuel, 1988) is a goddess-worshipping performance artist and writer who puts maca in her morning cacao. She has performed her poetry at local events including TEDx Singapore and The Performance Theatre, as well as at festivals worldwide, winning slams in New Zealand, Germany and Australia. She was a resident writer/artist at Literarisches Colloquium Berlin, The Watermill Center NY and The Marpha Foundation Nepal. Her musical performances and co-creations have been commissioned by entities like The Esplanade Singapore, the Goethe-Institut, Lisa Von Tang and the Barcelona International Poetry Festival. She currently sings/loops with Mantravine, and co-organises Opens, a para-academic forum.

In recent years, ArunDitha’s practice has been most influenced by shamanic research, political & feminist discourse, as well as contemporary & indigenous poetry.
