Terence is an individual with multiple interest and has a penchant for outbursts of random thoughts in conversations. His amount of arm flailing and the loudness of his voice in conversations determines the level of interest and passion that he has for the topic(s) discussed – which often leaves people thinking he is agitated and unhinged. He strongly believes that design is a nonlinear problem-solving process of which the solution can often be found in the problem itself and as such, designers are neither plastic surgeons nor individuals who survive on three square meals of exposure a day but problem solvers.

Final Year Project(s)
Can empathy be taught?
No.
But empathy can be facilitated to happen, through the learning of skills such as awareness, mindfulness and caring for others. This project aims to develop a home based learning toolkit to allow children to learn and practice such skills, thereby extending such skills to engage with the community, thereby developing a more caring, interconnected and compassionate society.
