Our project is an animated short film featuring two young adults, Charlotte and Valerie, who ride a cable car up Mount Faber in search of mountains in Singapore. This project explores an unorthodox approach to filmmaking, combining traditional and digital techniques to create a rich visual style which serves the lyrical poeticism of the story. The filmmaking process involved experimentation and exploration of different mediums and the integration of such mediums with digital animation.
Book of Reminiscence is a historical role-playing game about a scholar helping the ghosts of his ancestors to rest. It is a 3rd person PC game about self-discovery and reminiscing about the past.
Set during the Song Dynasty, Song Shu, a scholar, finds himself inheriting his family’s bookstore, which was passed down from his late parents, and a magical engraved stone. After entering the bookstore, he discovers the presence of ghosts – ghosts of his ancestors. A long lost childhood friend, a once-close relative, a mysterious stranger… Song Shu seeks to fulfil the wishes of his ancestors together with the stone’s power.
A Little Care is a 3D third-person exploration-puzzle game where you play as Carol, a little girl who tries to recover Grandma’s memories of her youth. It is up to you to find the missing stories in Grandma’s old diary, to help her recall her life’s memories!
The project was inspired by my own experiences with memory loss in a close family member, to raise awareness of and encourage empathy towards elderly suffering from memory loss, or dementia.
New Moon is a virtual reality adventure game set in a space environment. Incorporating the HTC Vive headset and controllers, you play as the Astronaut exploring the universe. However, things go awry as your spaceship starts malfunctioning mid-way and you crash land on an unknown planet …
While on the magical maze of the planet, your goal is to find the missing parts of the spaceship. Jump through portals and work your way through this unique geometric landscape by utilizing your head and body movements.
Watch out for small creatures that appear on the different maps as they hinder your process. Grab and pull the trigger using your hands as well as find the missing pieces to fix the spaceship to get back safely.
