After earning his first pay check, Jared comes home to his adoring parents and a night of celebration. However his parents start to change, with Ma’s demands of him becoming increasingly intensive and intrusive, while his Pa develops a strange obsessive taste for sweet drinks and more. As the night approaches, Jared realises his parents are mutating into another species and has to make a terrible choice between obedience or survival.

The film is an exploration of the Singaporean identity through conversations with comedians who goes skin deep in talking about uncomfortable issues through their comedy connecting with Singaporeans. This will be uncovered through interviews, the shows they perform, exclusive backstage footage, and a day in their lives beyond the persona on stage. The documentary is also exploring the use of archival materials, poetic imagery and soundscapes to bring to life the Singaporean identity that sometimes goes unnoticed.
“Rhythm” mainly features Burmese traditional art and designs alongside cultural musical performance. By integrating the traditional and modern elements, the story is told through visual metaphors. In the story, the female protagonist goes through a series of struggles which is interpreted as a culture shock or a change in her life.

Table talk on a Boat is an invitation for Indonesians to revisit and reflect on Indonesia’s past. It is a call to rediscover the positive legacy that the Chinese-Indonesians left on the nation’s history.
