Tadpole

Set against the backdrop of Singapore’s fading rural landscape amidst rapid urbanization in 2010, Tadpole is a coming-of-age story told from a child’s perspective about an unexpected friendship that blossoms in the unlikeliest of circumstances – a spirited 10-year-old child protagonist wandering the streets amidst her parents’ bitter separation finds a confidante in an equally vivacious 49-year-old proprietor of a faltering family frog farm.

Built To Scale

“Built to Scale” is a fantasy-absurdist film that explores the themes of office politics, societal competition, and the loss of individuality within modern society. The film centers around Lou, a timid company misfit who constructs a miniature model of her office space, only to discover its magical abilities that grant her control over her architecture firm. As Lou attempts to navigate her challenging colleagues and work environment using the miniature office, she begins to conform and gradually loses her sense of individuality.

Twiddlesticks

This project is a conceptualization of a series called “Twiddlesticks”. The series consists of 6 episodes of 20-25 minutes each designed for over-the-top (OTT) platforms. The origins of this project arose from my desire to produce an adapted work. The book of choice was “Seeing Stars” by Christina Jones, which I first read when I was 13 years old. I purchased the book from a café’s second-hand collection of books either forgotten or donated by customers. I was drawn to its worn and well-read look, deriving that it must have been really enjoyed by its original reader to have been read so many times.

My goal was to create engaging content that provides a relaxing experience for viewers. I aimed to achieve this by creating a heart-warming, comedic, and offbeat show that features scenic views of rural England. Overall, the series concept is a product of my creative innovation and my ability to produce quality content that resonates with modern audiences.
