Do you say sayang? What does pom pom mean? Does a 3-year-old know durian? At what age do Singaporean children know these words?
Here in Singapore, some of babies’ first words are special red-dot words that are part of what makes baby-talk in this part of the world special! Not much is known about when little kids learn these words, and how they contribute to general language skills.
We’re launching the first ever study of these words in Singapore, where we’re asking people all over the country when they think children start learning these words and how these words are used. As you play our interactive game, you’re allowing us to better document baby-talk used with children in Singapore.
