Genetic Modified (GM) food is produced from organisms that have their DNA altered using the methods of genetic engineering. GM food crops are genetically modified to improve crop protection and increase crop production. However, the risks of consuming GM food have to be thoroughly investigated, as genes were manipulated unnaturally.
