In the question, I believe the CPU takes one clock cycle to access the system bus. Hence, the bus cycle refers to the CPU clock cycle.
As you have seen in the tutorial, we do not consider the bus cycle for block transfer. But we do take the bus cycle into consideration when calculating the total time taken to transfer data using the cycle-stealing (or transparent) mode.

What is bus cycle? I think it is in the tutorial question 8 and it talks about data transfer, block transfer vs. cycle-stealing transfer mode. It is written that the bus cycle is 500ns. When does this bus cycle consider in the calculation?
