Exhibition 29/10 – 30/10

Exhibition Day 0 (28/10)

We took a long bus trip to the Art Science museum in the evening because it was raining really heavily and the taxis are very expensive. Admittedly, we should have check the duration of trip before hopping onto the bus. Oh well, at least we got to have a bonding session with Galina and a good rest during the journey of travelling. 🙂

Dragging our suitcases and bags behind us, we reached Marina Bay Sands and got our passes. We entered from the staff entrance and start to set up our wearables on the mannequins that were transported earlier in the day.

Exhibition Day 1 (29/10)

Yippie! Today is the first day of the exhibition! I am really excited and nervous at the same time. It is such a honour to be able to exhibit my work at the Art Science Museum even if it’s just for two days. Really thankful for the short but meaningful opportunity to showcase our fashion technology wearables at such a high end destination.

On day 2, reporters came and I narrated my design concept smoothly. I did not sleep much the night before and I was surprise that I was able to speak fluently without blabbering nonsense. I went to grab a cup of latte later at the food court.

At the end of the exhibition, we started to pack up. We had to dismantle all the parts of the mannequins and put them back into boxes for transportation back to school.

Here is Shi Min, a wonderful friend who has exhibited her work beside mine and appears to be happily dismantling the mannequins to be placed in the box.
