Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove – Chinese Poetry and Alcohol

Brief Summary:

An analysis of the paint, “Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove in the Long Corridor of the Summer Palace”, allows us to explore the circumstances that surrounded the scholars of that time. It gives us an insight as to why such euphoric and reckless atmosphere pervaded China during this period, and a comparison with previous timelines reveal the changing circumstances that led to such a situation.
