Tourism Boost

Helmed as one of the National Gardens in the country, Gardens by the Bay (GBTB) is recognized as the Number 1 attraction in Singapore on tourism site Tripadvisor. Its in-house team of dedicated engineers, horticulturalists, arborists and landscape designers continually curate floral displays in the Flower Dome, and around the expansive grounds the Gardens sit on to provide a different experience for visitors each time they visit. An extensive 101 hectares garden in the heart of the city, GBTB has received more than 50 million visitors on its grounds since its opening in 2011! A look at their annual financial report published at the end of Financial Year 2017/18, the Gardens has a whopping $28.3 million profit! It is no doubt that urban green spaces like this help boost tourism and contribute to Singapore’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
