Given that fast fashion is characterised by rapid turnover, it is no surprise that the lifespan of an article of clothing would be equally short. There are still certain stages that nearly every article of clothing go through before the end of its life. In this section, I will go through the five stages in the life cycle of a garment: (1) production of materials, (2) production of textiles, (3) retail process, (4) usage and customer ownership, and (5) disposal of unwanted garments.
