Conservation Movements

Jacques-Yves Cousteau led a widespread movement against unloading of nuclear waste into the Mediterranean sea in 1960. Cousteau was also involved in curbing commercial whaling in 1986. Furthermore, he was also a guest in the UN conference on Development & the Environment in 1992.
