Conservation and Sustainability

Like we have discussed, it is difficult to completely ban aquarium fish trade nor simply turning a blind eye to this issue and allow more species to be endangered or extinct. Hence, it is only practical to find a compromise between both ends of the spectrum.

We will be discussing various conservation efforts that has been done and can be done under the three categories: Governmental Laws and Regulations, Education and Managing Local Communities as suggested by Ophuls (1973). Each solutions strategies are not independent of each other, instead only the coordinated effort of involving all will bring about successful changes in the issue.
